SUPERVISING PSYCHIATRIC SOCIAL WORKER I, CF
Under the supervision of the Chief Psychologist, the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I (SPSWI), plans, organizes, and directs thepsychiatric social work program. The SPSWI maintains adherence to social work policies of the department; conduct staff meetings;train staff, evaluates staff performance and takes or recommend appropriate action; personally performs or supervises research relatingto psychiatric social work; participates in staff conferences; assists in the development of effective social work procedures; works withinstitutional and headquarters staff for the purpose of improving policies and procedures as they relate to the social work program;develops and directs discharge planning and arranges for referral of patients and/or inmates for
