The Behavioral Health LPN under the direction/supervision of a Behavioral Health RN provides direct patient care by utilization of the nursing process in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Southwestern Medical Center. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties within the scope of practice of an LPN including patient education, both in groups and individually.
Participates in the planning, implementing, and evaluation of nursing care. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education. Must have good communication skills and ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care. Computer skills are helpful.
Qualifications
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Current Practical Nurse license for the state of Oklahoma
Current BCLS and Pediatric First Aid with in 30 days of hire
MAB (Managing Aggressive Behavior) within 30 days of hire
Valid Driver?s License issued by the State of Oklahoma (if applicable)
EDUCATION:
Graduate from an accredited practical nurse program.
