Job Summary:
The Southwest Healthcare Regional office is seeking an Assistant Regional Director of Case Management. This position will provide leadership to the Case Management Team and will cover Temecula Valley Hospital , Rancho Springs Hospital , and Inland Valley Hospital. Duties include but not limited to:
- Evaluating staffing levels and budget management at each facility.
- Executing, monitoring and evaluating organizational, system, and facility level initiatives.
- Ensures staff competencies in all areas of case management (utilization review, utilization management, transitions of care, and social work services).
- Develops strong relations with hospital leadership and members of the healthcare team to facilitate quality and effective care.
- Up to 50% of travel time between hospitals.
Qualifications Experience/Training/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited College or University required. Master's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of clinical experience in Case Management/Utilization Review required. Five (5) to Eight (8) years of clinical experience in Case Management/Utilization Review preferred.
- Experience with InterQual to include use of electronic version, utilization management, transitions of care, electronic referral applications, electronic medical records, clinical care, and previous managed experience required.
- Minimum three (3) years leadership experience in Case Management/Utilization Review required, Healthcare experience preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of California, required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required. Must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
- Current CA Drivers' License required.
- CCM or CCM certification preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrates compliance with Healthcare policies and procedures at all times.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
- Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
- Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision meeting firm deadlines.
