Memorial Healthcare System is seeking an experienced, board-certified physician to serve as the Program Director for a new Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. Three years of leadership experience is preferred. Research productivity is preferred but not mandatory. The role also requires a minimum of 3?5 years of post-training experience, and strong collaborative and leadership skills necessary to direct an academic training program within a large, integrated healthcare system. The position will report directly to the MHS Chief Academic Officer and the Chief of Child Psychiatry with a dotted line to the Psychiatry Residency Program.
This full-time position (Monday?Friday, 8:00 a.m.?5:00 p.m.) is designed for a physician who is passionate about education, program development, and advancing the future of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. The Program Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and launching a new fellowship program, working closely with the Graduate Medical Education (GME) department, residency program leadership, and the Chief Academic Officer to ensure high-quality, evidence-based training standards.
Once the fellowship is fully operational, the role will transition to a balanced schedule consisting of approximately 75% clinical responsibilities and 25% protected administrative time. Administrative duties will include curriculum design, accreditation preparation, faculty recruitment, trainee evaluation, and continuous program enhancement. The selected physician will also have opportunities to mentor residents and fellows, foster academic excellence, and support a multidisciplinary approach to behavioral health across the system.
This is a full-time opportunity within the multi-specialty Memorial Physician Group. The role offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, commensurate with experience and academic background. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is a 226 bed free-standing children’s hospital in Hollywood, Broward County, Florida located near Fort Lauderdale. The hospital is currently undergoing a 4-story vertical expansion to double the number of floors and to continue to meet its commitment to providing the highest quality and safest care for children in the region. This expansion is scheduled to open the Fall of 2022 and includes a new CVICU and Cardiac Step Down Unit as well as state-of-the-art ORs and cath labs.

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (JDCH) has robust high-risk and congenital programs including a US News and World Report ranked pediatric Cardiology and Heart Surgery Program, one of only two active programs in the state that does heart transplant...s. JDCH’s Orthopedic and Sports Medicine program is also ranked by US News and World Report as number one in Florida and is one of the largest programs in the southeastern United States. JDCH also has robust Neurosciences, Hematology/Oncology and other specialized surgical programs (approximately 10,000 surgeries per year), and the area’s largest pediatric and neonatal transport team, which also does mobile ECMO.
JDCH serves over 375,000 children per year from around the state. Approximately 100,000 children are cared for in our three emergency rooms across the county per year. JDCH’s services continue to grow with the opening of the new specialty center/ambulatory surgery center in Palm Beach County in 2018 and a new ambulatory pavilion in Miramar, near Miami-Dade County which will open in 2022.
