In this capacity, he/she offers treatment in the form of assessment, clinical consultation, and psychological assessment, to other members of the team. The incumbent is assigned to Mental Health - Emergency Department. They consult with multidisciplinary staff in the Emergency Department setting on a wide variety of Veteran care issues to include psychiatric emergencies and triage for potential psychiatric inpatient admissions, as well as psychiatric consultation to inpatient Medicine Service.
