The role you’ll contribute:
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for proactively working with the Director & other FNS managers to coordinate FNS’ effective response and compliance to state, federal and JCAHO standards and regulations.
The Clinical Dietitian will be responsible for diet consults and nutrition screens.
The Clinical Dietitian is also to provide support for the Chief Clinical Dietician to be determined by the director or when the Chief Clinical Dietitian is taking PTO in these areas:
Nutritional instruction, guidance and care to patients, monitoring nutritional care, managing physician ordered therapeutic diets, nutritional education for outpatient counseling as required and including billing and tracking payments, providing interface with physicians and the FNS Department, and nutritional education to patients
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Supports the Chief Clinical Dietitian to insure and provide Registered Clinical Dietitian services and participate on designated committees and teams to provide clinical nutrition support & guidance to be determined by the director.
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for ordering and maintaining external feeding products and ensuring correct supplements are delivered to patients.
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for training of the diets & proper nutrition procedures and delivery.
The Clinical Dietitian will be required to assist in performing basic serving, food prep & diet office duties in FNS.
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for nutrient analysis of patient menus and cafeteria menus.
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing a positive servant leadership to the department & hospital.
The Clinical Dietitian must work effectively with the FNS Managers and Director.
The Clinical Dietitian must be a self starter and a results oriented problem solver.
The Clinical Dietitian may be assigned to staff and community training.
The Clinical Dietitian must work with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for working within budgetary guidelines; assisting with the budgeting and planning processes.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Post High School Vocational / Specialized Training Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition.
Completion of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved dietetics internship.
Sufficient previous experience in dietetics. Knowledge of food & nutrition, food preparation, production, supervisory or instructional techniques.
Completion of approved dietetics internship.
Academy of Nutrition/ Dietetics & Registration and Georgia Licensure
