In compliance with applicable State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 vaccine requirement are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption. Requests for medical exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved medical exemption is required to start work.

Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster two months after completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19. Because vaccine-induced immunity can wane over time, MSK continues to strongly urge all staff to get a COVID-19 booster as soon as they become eligible to maintain their protective immunity for a longer period.

Job Description

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) seeks a full-time Senior Occupational Therapist at a state-of-the-art cancer treatment center in Manhattan's Upper East Side. This facility offers the highest standards of comprehensive cancer care in an environment designed to meet the unique needs of cancer patients and their families. At MSK, we offer world class training within our rehabilitation service focusing on opportunities to develop innovative, therapeutic programs for a diverse patient population. Our highly talented team assists patients throughout their continuum of care focusing on improved quality of life, overall function and independent management as needed. We are looking for an individual passionate about patient-centered treatment, teamwork, and best practice which results in an exceptional patient experience. Attention to detail, dedication to individualized care, and participation in a team approach is what MSK therapists provide with each interaction. You will:* Provide highly skilled occupational therapy services including assessment of functional cognition to adult and pediatric patients in an oncology setting using evidenced-based therapeutic interventions to enhance patient outcomes.* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members, including the patient and their family, to ensure the highest level of clinical services are provided and experienced throughout the entire episode of care.* Participate in mentorship, both as mentor and mentee, through various teaching and learning opportunities.* Engage in projects and activities that support and advance institutional and departmental mission and goals.

You have:* New York State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.* Minimum of 3 years clinical practice as a licensed OT required.* Inpatient oncology acute care setting clinical experience preferred. * Pediatric and lymphedema clinical experience beneficial.

Schedule: Hours vary between 7:00-7:30pm, including weekends (subject to change)
