Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Psychiatric Advance Practice Nurse (APN) to join our team at the Behavioral Health Assessment Center in Morristown, NJ. This is a brand-new outpatient program, and the selected candidate will have the unique opportunity to help build the program from the ground up.
Responsibilities
As a Psychiatric Advance Practice Nurse, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and crisis intervention services. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of psych. experience, with a focus on working with children and adolescents. They should also be comfortable working with patients of all ages and have a strong understanding of treating substance use disorders. This is a full-time position with a great schedule - no nights, holidays, or weekends required, ensuring that work-life balance is attainable.
Qualifications
- ANCC certified and a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Psychiatry experience
- Experience with working with child and adolescents is preferred
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
