Addiction Medicine Physician
All guests and extended guests seen by the Addiction Physician will receive a comprehensive medical and or biopsychosocial assessment, utilizing present and past history and a mental status exam. The need for medical care will be assessed during the initial evaluation. Based on the outcome of the evaluation, a diagnosis is made according to the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual IV and a treatment plan to address the clinical presentation is prepared. These data, recommendations, risk, benefits and alternative treatments are discussed with the individual. Once the individual has agreed to treatment and the treatment plan is initiated, appropriate follow-up care will be planned and provided. The
